Urthboy nominated for Australian Music Prize

We are very happy to announce that Urthboy's Spitshine album, is the first official nomination in this year's Australian Music Prize.

This is Urthboy's second AMP nomination after being shortlisted in 2007 for The Signal.

The rest of the nominees will be announced on Feb
14th at the St. Kilda Festival main stage where Urthboy will give an exclusive performance following the announcement.

Urthboy will be hitting the road shortly with a brand new EP in the works. Keep an ear out for the announcement in late Feb!

Mista Savona is back with Warn the Nation, the blistering follow-up to the acclaimed Melbourne Meets Kingston, his landmark release that put Australian reggae on the world map.

Savona has enlisted some of the scene’s biggest stars to create one the most accomplished reggae albums to come out of this country.

Out March 12 on Elefant Traks.

Ozi Batla: Wild Colonial



Ozi Batla is hard at work on his debut solo album Wild Colonial.

OB has teamed up with producer, Sandro (ex Good Buddha) and the demos are sounding real fresh! Stay tuned, we'll be getting some more info out on this shortly.













Hermitude at Sydney Festival: Crazy outfits & monster dance-off

Hermitude's performance at the Spiegeltent as part of this year's Sydney Festival went down as a legendary. Crazy costumes, carnival atmosphere and to top it off, a huge dance-off between some Blue Mountains and Inner-west folk. Check out some of the video footage.

Awesome!
That night was so much fun my poor feet were cut and bruised for days. But I do think there needs to be a recall, when The Bakery comes to play in the Mountains it will be round two... it is only fair, perhaps best out of three. The dance off is not over yet! mark my words the Mountains will prevail.
